Blueberry and Red Grapes Can Enhance Immunities

A recent survey discovered that a chemical substance in a red grape and blueberry can enhance your body immune systems.

A researcher from Oregon State University has studied the impact of 446 types of different chemical substances upon the human body immune systems. A discovery that was published in the Molecular Nutrition Journal and Food Research showed that two compounds, resveratrol that was found in red grape pterostilbene in blueberry, when combined with Vitamin D, can increase the body capability to ward off disease.

Resveratrol has become the subject in many researches for several possible benefits, from improving cardiovascular health to fighting of cancer and reduce inflammation.

" From a single research on hundreds of compounds, only those two substances stand out, " said the chief researcher Adrian Gombart. " Their synergy with vitamin D .....is important and interesting. It is really an interesting interaction. "

However, scientists have said that the researches were carried out using laboratory cell culture and more researches have to be conducted before they could propose a nutrition suggestion.

In a previous research this year, blueberry was also found to increase the brain power capability due to it contains a lot of compounds called polyphenolics, that researches claimed could help the brain to carry out its important function of ' body management'.
